The Joy of Spring

I have been busy painting a cabinet I found at the Salvation Army for half price.  I have one more coat of paint to apply and then finish with new hardware and a new back to it.  Possibly a wall covering in a colorful blue design. We will see.  Today I am sharing some Easter decor in my dining room.  I am taking a road trip today with my son.  We are going to Peterborough b\c he has to go back to school after a week off b\c of reading week.

I found this cute little guy at our local thrift store.  Isn't He adorable.

The Easter Egg is a scented candle given to me from my kids a few years ago.

The tray is perfect for Easter & Tea time with the cute bunny on the front.

I love his big floppy ears!

 Two Cute little bunnies to hold Easter eggs!  I am going to put  some fresh flowers in the Easter watering can later today.  I have a busy day planned so it will have to wait.  I wanted to share it anyway.

Well that's all I have to share with you today.  I'm going to grab some breakfast and head out on our road trip.  It's another sunny day here so it will be great traveling.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Home & Garden Thursday

Welcome Spring

Today is the first day of Spring and the warm weather is so beautiful.  It is in the mid 70's today which is very unusual for March.  There is a warm breeze coming through the open french doors and windows.  I have clipped a few yellow flowers from my flowering bush out in the backyard and placed them in a tiny vase. Also on the shelf is a glass jar of sand and seashells and some seashells sitting randomly on the shelf.

I have just finished painting the walls white but my camera is picking up a shadow.  I need to learn more about taking photo's with my camera.  

I placed a cute little bird in the centre of the arrangement for spring.

This photo is my lovely daughter.  I thought I'd share a photo of some more Spring!  More like Summer weather today!

It's suppose to be beautiful for the next few days so I plan on going outside and spending some time in the gardens.  This morning I  sat on the back deck having my coffee and  listening to all the birds...robins, red-wing black birds, sparrows  and the seagulls in the distance.  I love to sit and listen to them sing.  The grass needs to be cut very soon as it is getting long and green.  The trees are budding along with various plants.  I am so thankful for The Lord's goodness in blessing us with this beautiful weather.  Enjoy your day!
