The Lighthouse

Lighthouse Cove

Our New Lighthouse for our garden

My husband & I celebrated 23 years of marriage on June 4th.   We travelled to the states for the evening & had a lovely dinner at an Italian restaurant.  I had eggplant parmesan & pasta with salad & breadsticks with a glass of wine. It was a beautiful & romantic evening. We went site seeing & shopping at some cute little shoppes &  a garden centre where we found this beautiful lighthouse & some gorgeous flowers for our gardens.

Anniversary Poem

As Time Goes By

We are older now but better by far
Who knows how good it can be
Our love still grows like a plant in the sun
Or a wave rising up from the sea.

We laughed before, but we laugh more now.
Life is more fun so it seems.
Days are sunnier, the moon shines brighter;
Our life is the stuff of dreams.

We shared in the past, but today we share more.
There’s a warmth that keeps growing inside.
We loved when we met; it was powerful then,
Yet now our love’s strong as the tide.

You’re the best, dearest thing to come into my life,
And I know one thing sure: You’ll be dearer still,
As time goes by.

The Lord is my light & my salvation, whom do I fear?
The Lord is my life's refuge, of whom am I afraid?

Vintage Dresser Makeover

My husband brought this vintage dresser home and it sat in the garage for a week or two before I even realized it was there.  I was doing the recycling when I seen it sitting there just waiting for some TLC.  I sanded it down and primed it so it was all prepped for painting.  I applied two coats of Benjamin Moore -  mountain peak white.    The heart shaped mirror and shelf are great accent pieces I painted along with the Vintage Dresser.  This is what it looks like after painting.

Sunday Stroll in my neighbourhood.

Taking time out from life's busy schedule of to-do lists to enjoy the simple pleasures of God's beauty this spring. My dogs love the outdoors as much as I do. Enjoy your day my friend's.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. ~Psalms 90:12
